DO NOT un-tick the games you have already installed.
Run the setup on The First Decade disc again, and this time tick the rest of the games (C&C: Tiberian Sun / Firestorm, C&C: Renegade). Apply GenTool for C&C: Generals and Zero Hour (optional, but highly recommended). Patch C&C: Generals/Zero Hour with GenPatcher (what this does is fix most currently known issues, including the DirectX 8.1 warning, restoring the missing registry entries, removing some loose files that may cause desyncs and more). Choose the following option: “Patch existing installation”. Patch C&C: Red Alert with the latest version of FunkyFr3sh’s setup. Patch Command & Conquer Gold with the latest version of Nyerguds’ unofficial 1.06 patch. Apply the TFD unofficial patch 1.03 rev4. If you did not disable User Account Control on your computer, install The First Decade to a folder which is NOT Program Files (x86). Choose a custom installation, and for the time being, select the following games to install: Command & Conquer Gold / Covert Operations, C&C: Red Alert / Counterstrike / The Aftermath, C&C: Red Alert 2 / Yuri’s Revenge, and C&C: Generals / Zero Hour. Follow the instructions on the screen.
If you are not using Windows XP, exit the autorun, and run setup.exe on the disc as administrator.Insert your The First Decade disc into your DVD drive.Make sure you have installed DirectX 9.0c by these guidelines before proceeding. You're gonna need those no-cd patches to make that work.
So, that should get you set for most of the games without even needing the DVD anyway.
English videos pack (French and German video packs are also available on the website)Īdditionally, Red Alert 2 is currently free in Origin's "On The House" feature, and can thus be added to your Origin account completely for free. Complete No-CD game installation pack (v1.06c r3, no videos, all music included). You will, however, need no-cd patches then to actually run the games.īy now, though, Command & Conquer 1, Red Alert 1 and Tiberian Sun are all freeware, and they have all been upgraded with community-created unofficial patches that fix a lot of their bugs and compatibility problems, too. That said, the TFD installation doesn't require the DVD itself you can just use some other PC to copy the whole thing on a usb drive, and install from that. sadly, it doesn't exist as product on Origin, and hence, it can't be redeemed that way.
